RuneScape 3 Best Food for Healing

Food can be used to regain life points during combat. As such, it’s one of the most important items to bring to sustain you throughout a boss fight. While the use of food is not limited in RuneScape 3 most of the time, your inventory is the limiting factor of how much food you can take to an instance. With that in mind, it’s important to bring the best food available to you for the combat activity you are about to do. This is the list of RuneScape 3 best food for healing during combat currently available in the game.

Rocktail

Rocktail is a fish that requires level 90 Fishing to catch and level 93 Cooking to cook. This fish can be caught from Rocktail shoals found inside Living Rock Caverns. Rocktail heals you for 2300 life points and can boost you by 10% above the maximum life points. Level 92 Constitution is required to receive the full amount of healing from Rocktail. This fish should be sufficient for low to mid-level combat activities.

Sailfish

Sailfish is a fish that requires level 97 Fishing to catch and level 99 Cooking to cook. This fish can be caught in the northeastern part of the Deep Sea Fishing hub located off the coast of the Fishing Guild. Sailfish can be used as a replacement for Rocktail as it provides you with an extra 100 life points. Sailfish heals you for 2400 life points and can boost you by 10% above the maximum life points. Level 96 Constitution is required to receive the full amount of healing from this fish.

Blue Blubber Jellyfish

Blue blubber jellyfish can be fished at level 91 Fishing at the Deep Sea Fishing hub. Level 95 Cooking is required to cook them. You need to have level 30 Constitution to receive the full amount of healing from this fish.

Different from Rocktail and Sailfish, Blue blubber jellyfish is eaten in 3 bites instead of one. You regain 750 life points for each bite which adds up to a total of 2250 life points healed per fish. One of the biggest benefits of using them is that it does not decrease your adrenaline, unlike Rocktail and Sailfish. Blue blubber jellyfish also do not share a cooldown with other foods. With those benefits in mind, Blue blubber jellyfish becomes one of RuneScape 3 best foods for healing in high-level combat activities.

Guthix Rest

Guthix rest flask is a potion made through herblore skill. This variant of Guthix rest contains six doses and always heals for 500 life points per sip regardless of your Constitution level. Guthix rest flask heals a total of 6000 life points.

This potion is often used as an alternative to Saradomin Brew. While provides less healing, Guthix Rest does not drain your stats, unlike Saradomin Brew.

Saradomin Brew

Saradomin brew flask is a potion made through herblore skill. This potion can be used as a replacement for Guthix Rest as it provides more life points. This variant of Saradomin brew contains six doses and always heals for 1000 life points per sip regardless of your Constitution level. Saradomin brew flask heals a total of 6000 life points.

This potion temporarily increases your Defence level by 4% + 1 and decreases your Attack, Strength, Magic, and Ranged level by 4% + 1. Because of the stat drain, it is highly recommended to use this potion alongside any of the overload potions. Overloads will override the stat-draining effect from Saradomin brew. You can use the Restore potion as an alternative to overloads, but it will occupy an extra inventory slot without gaining any stat-boosting effects like overloads.

Because of its high price compared to other healing items, this potion is not recommended for slayer and low to mid-level combat activities. Saradomin brew is most often used in high-level bossing and combat activities.
